Intel PC vs. Mac ad is an unapologetic social experimentIntel PC vs. Mac ad is an unapologetic social experiment

The war between PCs and Macs has been running for almost long, and all in all battles, Intel is mostly silent because it serves both camps. However, with Apple’s new silicon, Intel was forced to finally choose the side and take reasons on the name of the Windows PC. The latest efforts to withdraw the line involve what is clear the label as a social experiment that implies that Apple fans do not really know what is lost to the reality hit it.

That is, of course, unfair generalizations that label Apple fans as “Isheep”, adhering to the company’s products only because of loyalty. Video clips “solve spells” Intel suggest that many of Apple customers who are loyal are also not satisfied with the situation in Mac, MacBooks, and even iPad. They, however, are presented here as really don’t realize that these problems have been resolved by a Windows device.

Video ads start with the test group air their desire for more hardware adjustment options, the ability to play games, or have something fancy as a touch screen or convertible / hybrid tablet. They are then served with something that looks like a MacBook but can fold back to turn into a tablet. “Punchline” comes when the host reveals that this kind of “MacBook” is indeed but only on Intel PC.

The Head of the Intel Performance Strategy Ryan Shrout explained that this was a real reaction or real person, not written ads. Some may still doubt it, but it is not difficult to imagine people on both sides of the fence which is not at all aware of what is available on the other side. That Intel happens to find Apple fans like that, of course, a more doubtful scenario.

While the advertisement factually shows the things that have a PC that has more than Mac and MacBook, it is not surprising not even close to why many Apple fans still flock to Cupertino products even though there are powerful Windows PCs. These reasons include software ecosystems, reliability, and performance, some of which both Intel have no direct control or even fail.
