Some automotive manufacturers have worked to integrate digital key use with their new cars. With a digital key, the vehicle owner does not have to have a key FOB in the pocket or key to be placed on the ignition to start the car and operate it. One of the coolest parts about digital key features is to make vehicles sharing with other people much easier.
Along with vehicles that support digital keys, the owner also needs a smart phone that supports these features. Samsung has launched the October security patch for the Galaxy S21 device series. Patches are currently taking refuge in Germany, the Philippines, India and South Korea. Samsung first talked about adding digital key features at Samsung which has not been dismantled, and is expected to pass in the US and other countries too.
At present, indication is that digital key features are only available in South Korea. However, with enabled features, users can register compatible car keys to Samsung Pass. This feature functions with Audi, BMW, Genesis, and certain Ford vehicles. The digital key feature allows to lock and unlock the door, start the machine, and drive.
The digital key update launches South Korea first, shows Samsung takes slow launch features. While October security updates are available in other countries today, updates provide different firmware numbers depending on the country.
In other areas get updates, firmware is the G99 * BXXU3AEE, while in South Korea, firmware ends with AUIG. In countries where updates are available, users can check them in the software update section in the settings.
