Catherine Tate’s returned to the first trailer for the film Nan, came to the UK Cinemas next month.
The film saw Nan away on land from London to Ireland with his grandson Jamie (Mathew Horne) to redeem his sister Nell (Katherine Parkinson), who was dying.
Of course, Nan became Nan, nothing was enough to plan and the couple found the burning of militant vegan, Rugby Tim Rugby and the crazy police on motorbikes, and attended Rave all night, of course.
The first trailer also revealed that we would get a flashback sequence into the past Nan and Nell, where they seemed to fall more than a man. So, if you’ve ever wanted to know what made him, this is an opportunity to find out.
The film was first announced in May 2019 and filmed the end of the year from the release of June 2020 planned.
Like almost every other 2020 films, the release date must be postponed because of the ongoing global pandemic. But with a trailer now, we know for sure that we will see nan again on March 18 at the British cinema.
The film was written by Tate and Ted Lasso’s Brett Goldstein, and also Parker Sawyers, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Jack Doolan and Niky Wardley.
This is a spin-off of the Catherine Tate Show where Nan made a TV debut, before Tate took it to four specials between 2009 and 2015. During TV sightseeing, the BBC had to defend the character of the controversy.
“Nan is a famous comedy character with a BBC audience for outrageous views, languages, and behavior,” said a spokesman in 2015. “His views do not have an agreement with a more enlightened world because this program explains.”
The Nan Movie is released in UK cinemas on March 18.
