Sony has acquired the Bluepoint Games, Austin-based studio is famous for recreating the soul and shadow of the demon from Colossus. The financial provisions of the agreement have not been disclosed. Rumors that Sony bought Bluepoint began to spread online right around the time the company acquired the developer of Robah Housememememememarque at the end of June. Sony does not say whether Bluepoint will continue to focus its efforts on removing the previous titles or if it will work on a completely new IP now that it is part of the PlayStation Studios family.
“Playstation has an iconic gaming catalog and for us, nothing is better than bringing some gaming works to new players,” said Marco Thrush, President Bluepoint Games. “Being part of Playstation Studios empowers our team to improve the quality-bar further and create a more impact experience for the Playstation community.”
With the announcement of the agreement today, Sony has acquired three studios in the past year.
