Razer wants to lower the barrier to enter to stream directly with a budget webcam and a catch card. Newbies streaming can add video bait from themselves to broadcast with Kiyo X USB webcam.
As with many games today, you can choose between optimizing your webcam feed for loyalty or framerate with 1080p 30 FPS options and 720p 60 fps. The automatic focus feature must keep the image sharp and you can adjust the settings quickly. With the Razer Virtual Ring Light App, you will be able to use glare from your monitor as a lighting source.
Also new is the RIPSW card capture. It can capture recording up to 30 frames per second in 4K. Razer said this device gave “zero latency” through HDMI 2.0 connectivity and USB 3.0. You can connect it to the camera with an HDMI output to use it as an upscale webcam, or capture gameplay from the console.
This is a more budget-friendly version of other razer devices, such as Kiyo Webcam, which has a built-in light ring, and the RIPSW HD retrieval card capable of 60 fps. Kiyo X costs $ 80, while RIPPW X will run you $ 140. Both are available now from the Razer website and they will send on the next business day.
