We are still around four months from the expected debut, but most of the information about the Galaxy S22 series has fallen into place. We of course, see the usual increase in processors and some internal components, but it starts to feel like we will get a sense of Deja Vu with Galaxy S22 and S22 +. Instead, the Galaxy S22 Ultra may be a head-turner, but not by the way Samsung might expect it.
Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 + have leaked into a smaller version of its predecessor. In trying to set a new base line for its flagship series, Samsung may have decided to aim for the “Mini” superior at the end of the extreme spectrum. This depreciation, in turn, forced it also used a smaller battery, with a South Korean safety agent confirming a 3,700 mAh battery for the Galaxy S22 and a 4,500 mAh capacity from the Galaxy S22 + battery.
In terms of external design, both cellphones are ringing for Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + last year. SlashLeak has revealed the alleged case for two phones, and you might not guess them will become Galaxy S22 and S22 + unless you are told. Both still have the same cut camera design on the back, which at least give some identity.
Galaxy S22 Ultra will also have some visual identity, but maybe not the most fun out there. The bump camera will force the case maker to have a P-shaped cutout that doesn’t really look elegant. It’s unique, thoughts, but not all things are unique to make good shows.
Of course, these cases may be far from the sign, and we only rely on unofficial sources and renders. Samsung fans might hope that the company will not follow in the footsteps of the iPhone 13 as far as the upgrade is gradual. Then again, the Galaxy S22 Ultra can be the Galaxy Note 21 which will be very widely missed this year, at least in spirit and features if not in the name.
