NASA has confirmed that he has stopped sending orders to all spacecraft and rover on the surface of Mars until mid-October. The reason did not send commands to the Mars fleet because Mars and Earth are currently on the opposite side of the sun, known as the conjunction of Surya Mars. This phenomenon occurs every two years, and although it cannot send orders, the mission operating on the red planet will continue to collect data during this period.
During solar conjunctions, ionized gas from Corona Sun can interfere with radio signals if communication is tried by spacecraft around Mars. Fear is that if the beryodized gas disturbs orders sent to the spacecraft, it can damage orders and cause unexpected behavior on orbiting spacecraft and Rover operates on the surface of the planet. NASA has sent a spacecraft on Mars a list of commands they will do for the next few weeks.
Most missions stopped receiving orders between October 2 and October 16, something known as a moratorium that ruled. Depending on the spaceship, the initial and final dates for the moratorium command can vary a few days in both directions. Perseverance will continue to take weather measurements with the Dynamics Analyzer MARS sensor and look for Horizon Mars for Dust demons, among other tasks.
The Martian Ingenuit Helicopter will remain silent as long as the moratorium command is at a location of 575 feet from perseverance. This will send status updates to perseverance every week. Curiosity Rover will continue to observe Martian’s weather using the Rover environmental monitoring station and monitor radiation with radiation assessment detectors, and other sensors will remain active.
Insights will continue to use the seismometer to track the earthquake on Mars. Three orbits in the surrounding room Mars will continue to deliver some science data back to earth. The order will also continue to collect science data. NASA said that there would be a pause in the flow of raw drawings from perseverance, curiosity, and insight.
